Dr. Wang completed his first professional degree (MD) in Shandong University School of Medicine (China) in 1991.
After working as an ophthalmologist in Qingdao Eye Hospital for 2 years, he accepted a postdoctoral position in Kumamoto University School of Medicine in Japan, where he devoted his time to medical research. Dr. Wang got his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in 2004.
Dr. Wang is actively involved in the blindness prevention and treatment missions, including the ORBIS; the Flying Eye Hospital. Dr. Wang speaks native Chinese and fluent Japanese. His experience includes myopia reduction and prevention through contact lenses. With extensive experience and a philosophy of care, Dr. Wang always strives to provide excellence in a gentle and informative manner.
Dr. Wang loves to play volleyball in his spare time. As a matter of fact, he played for his high school and university for 9 years. Dr. Wang says that different cultures and multi-disciplinary academic training have opened his eyes to be a better clinician.
