Dr. Wang completed his medical degree (MD) at the Shandong University School of Medicine (China) in 1991.
After working as an ophthalmologist at Qingdao Eye Hospital for 2 years, Dr. Wang accepted a postdoctoral position at Kumamoto University School of Medicine in Japan, where he devoted his time to medical research. Dr. Wang got his Doctor of Optometry degree at Pacific University College of Optometry in 2004.
Dr. Wang is actively involved in blindness prevention and treatment missions, including the ORBIS, the Flying Eye Hospital. His experience includes myopia reduction and prevention through contact lenses.
Dr. Wang’s native language is Chinese, and he also speaks fluent Japanese. With extensive experience and a compassionate approach to eye care, Dr. Wang strives to provide care in a gentle and informative manner.
Dr. Wang loves to play volleyball in his spare time. As a matter of fact, he played in high school and university for 9 years. Dr. Wang says that different cultures and multi-disciplinary academic training have opened his eyes to be a better clinician.
