What Is Forma Treatment?

Forma uses bi-polar radiofrequency technology to gently heat the skin and trigger your body to produce collagen—the protein responsible for skin elasticity.

As new collagen is produced, your skin can appear tighter, reducing the look of fine lines and wrinkles.

Forma is safe for all skin types and can treat areas like eyelids, forehead, neck, and jowls with no downtime.

What Can Forma Treat?

Some of the most common skin concerns Forma technology can help with include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles: Our skin naturally loses elasticity as we age. RF skin tightening helps stimulate collagen production, smoothing fine lines and wrinkles.
  • Loose neck and jowls: Another common area impacted by aging is the neck and jowls. RF technology can tighten these areas for a more youthful appearance.
  • Uneven skin texture: RF skin tightening isn’t just for wrinkles or sagging skin; it can also help improve overall skin texture by promoting new collagen growth, resulting in smoother, more even-looking skin.
  • Sun damage: RF technology can also help minimize the appearance of sun damage, including sun spots, freckles, and spider veins.

We can determine if Forma skin tightening is the right strategy for your needs during a consultation.

How Skin Tightening Works

Because each person has different skincare goals, we start each treatment with a consultation to identify your goals and concerns before developing a personalized treatment strategy.

Some strategies may include additional treatments to help you achieve the results you’re looking for. These can include other in-office procedures like RF microneedling or an array of skincare products that we’d be happy to offer.

Consultation

Your visit begins with a consultation. During this time, we will discuss your goals and expectations and examine the areas you want addressed. We’ll use this information to develop a personalized treatment strategy.

The optimal number of treatments varies depending on your needs.

Before we begin, we’ll clean and sterilize your skin and place a cooling gel on the treatment area.

During the treatment, we’ll gently maneuver the device over the treatment area. You may feel a slight warming sensation on your skin, but this is entirely normal.

Following your treatment, you may notice some redness or tingling in the targeted areas, but this is normal and usually diminishes within a few hours.

Avoiding direct sunlight and applying certain ointments or make-up on your face while your skin recovers is recommended.
